Mask Parade Practise

Today we had a dress rehersal practise for the mask parade. We looked so colourful and we all had a geat time. We are looking forward to Friday night and being a shining light at the mask parade.

Spending Time With Room Three

This week we have worked with Room Three.
On Wednesday we made some Recycled Posters and animal critters with them!
We used a bottle top for the body , some eyes (that move) and pipecleaners for legs.
It was lots of fun and we had a great time getting to know the children in Room Three

Aliens

In Room One today there were 15 aliens!
They all had either one or two eyes.
They were on Planet Crit.
Spaceman Sid arrived on the plkanet and discovered someof the aliens. They had 9 eyes altogether. We had to decide how many aliens there were on the planet.
We found out there could be 9 aliens with one eye each or five or even six aliens. We counted in twos and ones.
Some of us wore our alien headbands at lunchtime.

So dont be scared if you see aliens around at N.C.A they are probably from Room One

Our 100 days of school party....yum!

We  have been counting each day at school and the first Thursday in Term Three was the 100th day at school...we had an awesome party.....

Character Day

On Friday 15th June after having a book fair in the library all week we had a dress up character Day. We had to dress up like a book character. We were all every excited to see what everyone was wearing !

For Science we are studying God is at work. We looked at one of the forces God has made..."The Wind"

Then we made paper boats and floated them in the wind in the swimming pool.

Today Mrs Strange brought her chickens to school. We all had a hold if we wanted to. Then we wrote some stories about the chickens. We were allowed to get them out at choosing time and cuddle them. The chickens are used to being handled and would go to sleep in our arms.

Harmony showed us how to hold the chickens, this one hides up her shirt and when she turns it over it goes to sleep!

L.A. wrote: "I like them because they are cute. They are fluffy and they go cheep cheep"

Jessie loves the chickens and wrote a description about them  "There is two white ones, a ginger one, two grey and one brown chicken. I love the ginger chicken best"

Kyla is very gentle with the baby chickens. She wrote " I like the chickens. They are pretty. I held one."
Kyla even thought of Figaro as a name for one of them

Shammah wrote " The chickens are cute" She is holding one of the biggest chickens

Everyone wanted to play with the chickens... We talked about how to describe them
Poppy used a big word she wrote " The chickens are indescribable. Its cage is cute. Be careful because you will stop the chicklens breathing. They are fluffy" Amazing effort Poppy
