Making cakes

For Maths we pretended we were bakers, we had to work out how many different ways we could put 5 cherries onto some cakes.
Then we decided to make some cakes they were delicious...

New Maths equipment

We have  got some new Maths equipment. It is made some natural things like stones, shells, string etc.
Today we tried out the new games.

Slimey the eel

We found a baby eel on the driveway to our school today!

 We named our eel "Slimey"

 We put Slimey into the  turtle tank!!! The turrtles were mean and kept trying to bite Slimey.

 So we decided he should be separated and put him in a blue bucket.

Rooms One and Two then had a discussion about what would be best for Slimey.

We had a vote and decided the best option would be to take slimey back to the river to be with his family.

 We let Slimey go and he swam upstream which we thought was interesting.

 "Goodbye Slimey, have a good life". (Its hard to see him as the water was mirky after the rain.

Boat Making

 For technology we made some boats
out of polystyrene, skewers and with
paper sails

Space

We love studying space.
We have learnt about the sun, stars and planets

and are creating a big space rocket!

Arcade Games

Parents, We will be playing the childrens archade games that they have been making at shine time tomorrow at 2.15. Please come along and join us, you can take your children home afterwards if you want.
